Ashkirio Black is a 21 year old music producer and singer-songwriter based in the Netherlands. After four years of refining his craft, he just started releasing his dark-pop songs independently. His music rejects easy categorisation, seamlessly shifting between electronic soundscapes and cinematic orchestral arrangements. Characterised by edgy, breathy vocals and intricately layered production, every track is designed to reveal something new with each listen. Drawing on his educational background in foley for film and videogames, Ashkirio always tries to find ways of implementing foley in any way possible, making every song sound more immersive, visual and story-driven. Inspired by creators such as Junji Ito, David Lynch and videogames like OMORI and Little Nightmares, his songs often explore themes of trauma, horror, and isolation through haunting narratives and atmospheric production. At its core, Ashkirio’s music is about giving a voice to experiences that often go unspoken. By transforming difficult emotions into compelling stories, he hopes to create a space where listeners feel seen, understood, and reminded that they are never truly alone.
